Regulary updated on a monthly basis, this unique source makes the EU trade flows more transparent for any serious economic analysis. For the first time it includes the trade induced carbon footprint to monitor and to compare possible environmental impacts.

Intra-Extra-EU Trade Statistics


"Intra- and Extra-EU Trade Data” is compiled by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union. Basing on the harmonized trade statistics of the EU member states, this unique source presents full access to the European Union’s trade figures. For around 10,000 products or groups of products - including the totals - trade data information can be retrieved without any restriction. The contents in detail:

Data Coverage (contents may vary according to the publication policy of the source):

  • covering the trade between the EU Members with each other and between each of them and their around 200 trading partner countries world wide
  • basing on the Harmonised System HS2 and HS4, plus its eight-digit subdivision, the Combined Nomenclature (CN8)
  • the full data history: annual figures from 1988 onwards, monthly figures from 2000 onwards
  • inclusive powerful internet based data retrieval and statistical and graphical features

"Intra- and Extra-EU Trade Carbon Footprint” is calculated by DSI. Basing on the harmonized trade statistics of the EU member states, this unique source also presents full access to the European Union’s trade figures. For around 10,000 products or groups of products - including the totals - trade data information can be retrieved without any restriction. The contents in detail:

  • covering the trade between the EU Members with each other and between each of them and their around 200 trading partner countries world wide
  • basing on the Harmonised System HS2 and HS4, plus its eight-digit subdivision, the Combined Nomenclature (CN8)
  • the full data history: annual figures from 1988 onwards, monthly figures from 2000 onwards
